No blacks were allowed to live in Oregon until 1926.
The state was founded with the intention of keeping blacks out.

If you're a racist, pretty much the entire west is a utopia. Bigger cities have a Spanish population, but it's shockingly white out here.

That's a bit misleading. The laws were on the books until 1926. Its not like there were no black people living in Oregon. Very few lived there so the laws had the intended effect, but they weren't really enforcing these laws.

Sadly, we're still the racist scapegoat even though the South is far better at race relations and integration than anywhere.
How can a state with 3% black population be good at integration, or not be racist by nature?

I'm sure there is racism in Oregon, along with Wisconsn, New Hampshire, DC, Vancouver, Arizona, Florida, everywhere.
I just never understood southerners need to call out other states on it. It almost seems like there is a serious inferiority complex going on. We like to claim we have the best food, weather, girls, schools, cities, but it's like we're trying to compare ourselves to the North. Like "ha! beat that you damn Yankees" I'm pretty sure 95% of the north don't give a frick about us, and probably couldn't name 5 southern states. Why are people down here so obsessed with the north?

Of all the the regions in the country the the south is the least racist of them all. In the south things are different because even in large metropolitan cities you see people of every ethnicity in all areas of the cities. On the west coast north Midwest and Pacific Northwest it's the exact opposite.
Other urban environments are largely segregated in big cities across the U.S. In these areas. There are cities where you can go around an entire neighborhood and not see a single black,white, or Hispanic person. It simply would just depend on what part of town you were in who you would see. That's how it is in different areas other than the south.

You should travel more. People make assumptions about you or the area you're from when you're from the deep South. I'm not aggressively going after any one state, but for example: Alaska taking the Mississippi State flag out of their capitol. Is Alaska some sort of beacon for integration? It's easy for Northern states to assume racism on the South when it's really the other way around.
There's waaay more black surburbia in MS, AL and GA than anywhere in the country, but yet we're labled "racist"..
