American B-1 bomber crews tell of heavy bombing of Kobane, on the Syrian border. Pilots call it "going Winchester"; I have never heard that term before.
LINK

Just putting this out there, for those bemoaning that we're not doing much to confront ISIS. B-1 crews alone dropped 2,000 bombs on 1,700 targets.

Most of the work that we'll do to combat the ISIS scourge won't make the headlines, by its very nature.

And I'm ok with that

Give more weapons to "terrorist" groups and future enemies just like we have always done before? Yea i know dont worry about it because the industrial military complex cronies dont foot the bill, they just rake in the profits.

Its okay after we blow up millions of dollars of tax payer bought Iraqi equipment with millions of dollars of military US weapons we will then replace that Iraqi equipment with more tax payer funded equipment. The good news if you are amongst the 1% who is invested in the industrial military complex then you are making out like a bandit.

I wonder if ISIS thinks that all Christians think of Rome as Mecca? A lot of protestants think of Catholics in the same light as Mormons.

I could certainly get behind the Catholic who's willing to finance the killing of these crazy motherfrickers.

I'm not a violent person. I only kill for food, or would if it came down to protecting myself or family.

However, I would gladly put a bullet in every ISIS forehead that I could. Every. Fricking. One.
With no remorse.

If you decide to only read one account of ISIS, the piece in this month's Atlantic Monthly is pretty good.
LINK /

It's pretty lengthy, but explains where they came from, their conflict with Al Qaeda, their ambitions, their theology, and their beef with fellow Muslims.

Just bring an end to religion. Untold suffering has been administered in the name of religion down through the centuries and now it's even worse. If there is no religion, then there is no debate, and then there is no conflict. Im telling y'all, before this is all over, the U.N. will be the world government and religion as you know it will not exist.

Plenty of violence gets committed for nonreligious reasons. That wouldn't fix anything

Religion gives people morals to not go kill. Your argument is invalid.

Go beat up Yoko again, John.

Seriously though, if you think that religion is the only reason for violence and that religion's sole purpose is violence then

ISIS burns 45 people (though to be Iraqi security personnel) to death in Anbar province. This happened near Ain al-Asad air base, where US Marines are training and advising the Iraqi Army's 7th Division.

Isis put on a big parade in Sirt, Libya yesterday. LINK

And they weren't celebrating Mardi Gras. Looks like Toyota is the official vehicle for medieval apocalyptic Islamic terrorists.
