Got through the first episode and wasn't all that impressed - moves really slow and they haven't given me a reason to be invested in any of the characters. It's just sort of "meh". Compared to other incredible Netflix shows like Orange is the New Black, Peaky Blinders, House of Cards, and Marco Polo, this one falls really short.

It's funny you say that. I don't give the slightest frick about politics, so it took me a little while to get into HOC. I've watched the whole series, but the first going was tough because the pace was just.so.slow.

I feel like if you give Bloodline a few more eps you'd have a better opinion. Full disclosure, I've only seen 3 episodes, but I'm definitely intrigued. Episode 2 kind of builds a little more substory. I just think you're doing a disservice by only watching one episode.

I'll give episode 2 a go. HOC instantly grabbed my attention, but I love Spacey in anything.

If thats all you are giving then dont waste your time. I finished ep 2 and its only slightly better. This show could take off but apparently its a very slow build up.

The acting and cinematography are fantastic.

I agree but something else really bugs me about the show. Im not sure yet if its just the plot buildup or style its shot.

I'm guessing like 65% of the dudes on here resemble kevin in appearance.

I'll be honest, this show has made me want to live the island life. I have a good buddy who lives on Saint George Island who just opened up his own bar. This show makes me just want to quit my job and leave atlanta and live down there and bartend and party for a while.

I just finished 6 last night. You can tell things are definitely starting to pick up the pace. I'm real excited to keep going. Gotta watch BCS first though then will keep forging on with BL.

It really makes the Keys look like such an awesome place to live. Moving down there seems like a great idea for retirement or hell just to slow down your pace of living and enjoy life on the beach. I think it would be hard for me to work though all I would want to do would be to drink cold beer and fish all day.

That's all they do man. I've gone to visit him several times during the summer over the years. He wakes up whenever, drinks and does other recreational activities, drives a golf cart to the bar and bartends at night. This was before he opened his own place mind you. During the day he'd either golf, fish, or just chill out.

What a life.

I imagine this show would be torture for alcoholics to watch. The Rayburns are drinking in damn near every scene.

Finished the 4th Ep and it got a bit better. If you want to see if you are gonna like this show or not you are going to have to at least make it to Ep 4 for proper evaluation.

Just finished #10 last night and oh boy I can't wait to finish. There is no doubt I'm making a beeline home from work today to finish the series.

And the concensus on the M/TV board seems to be that 1-10 are all really good, but 11-13 are on another level and far better than the rest of the series. I don't know how but damn I'm pumped.

I would suggest to anyone who has just started it and is on the fence to keep forging on. I thougth the pace was really slow at first as well, and it is, but it continues to build and build as it goes on.

I may check this out in the next couple of weeks. The only ongoing shows I watch right now is Mad Men and Ray Donovan.

Just got through 11 and i concur. 1-3 are kinda slow and boring. It begins to pick up by 4 and then suddenly takes off. Its a great show, i highly recommend it.
