I cant afford a green egg. Will be something I can use with propane tank and +/- 500 bucks. Mostly used for burgers, chicken, steaks etc.

Dude, save the money and buy a BGE when you can. It's worth it.

Been using mine for 15 years. I'm getting ready to make the switch to gas because charcoal ash sucks on the paver stones in my loggia and I've grown out of the period of my life where smelling like smoke after cooking a skirt steak is cool. I'll keep the charcoal around for special occasions.

To answer the question, I'm thinking Weber Genesis for the new one. A little more expensive than $500, though.

Bite your tongue, boy. You're in a BBQ grill thread with Texas men. Show some respect.

Yeah guys I get the weber love. I have owned weber charcoal grills for years. The problem is that the charcoal itself upsets my stomach. I cant handle it. So need to cook with propane now.

I do the propane because I can be searing a steak at 650 degrees 10 minutes after I decide I want a steak

Get infrared. I got a char broil commercial that's pretty badass.

See if lump charcoal doesn't mess with your stomach. It's a little tougher to use than briquettes but burns cleaner and supposedly hotter. If that work then get either a weber kettle or save for a Kamado Joe or Primo XL.

If all you're planning on doing is steaks and chicken I would go with the weber. If you ever decide to test your manhood and smoke something just get the smokenator 1000.

I'm in the market for a grill also, I prefer propane for speed and convenience. I also need a side burner, that's a must so the Stok mentioned earlier is eliminated unfortunately.

I'm liking the stainless Weber Genesis E-330 so far but the $950 price tag is painful. I am retiring a Char-Broil "Red" commercial infrared grill. Anyone know of anything comparable to the Weber at a price that won't require auctioning off my first born male child?

That Stok Quattro looks like exactly what I want. Thanks for that!

Will check my local Target to see if they have in stock.

Appreciate the input.
