I appreicate your willingness to play this friendly game but, in relation to MS having more famous people than MO, Mississippi wins.

Hands down.

Do I need to mention - Elvis, Root beer, Jimmy Buffett and Oprah again?

Bam.

Yeah but how many of your famous people live there today?

I know Oprah hates mississippi. But I am not a fan of her so I'll let that pass.

You can have our NBA team if you give us one of your MLB teams.

You claimed that Mississippi had a longer and richer history than states that are much older and more integral to that same history. South Carolina was a state before Mississippi was even a concept and I see your Civil War (which we were infinitely more historically relevant in) and raise you a Revolutionary War...

Having the good sense not to give a shite about the NBA is not a fail.

St. Louis really doesn't know how to do the football fan thing. Hockey is bigger there It wouldn't bother me much if the Rams split.

Mississippi has had a lot of celebs, singers, and musicians for its population. There's a long long list of notable people from here, but it's most impressive claim to fame is its musical heritage. Without the delta blues and Elvis a lot of big time artists and acts from the 50's to the 90's would have pursued other occupations.
