Yes they should.

All of Academia is now on notice. All it takes is a professor to slip up in a classroom and have part of his lecture recorded on a cell phone cam, edited, and taken out of context to start a witch hunt. Some prof who gave a kid an F? Easy enough to get him booted.

Academic freedom is dead.

Once the FB team got behind it then things went fast. Money speaks and not playing a FB game would have cost Mizz too much money.

i think the system only works in that case when there's a legitimate reason for a change.

i've yet to see anything that makes me think the president should have been coerced into resigning.

Obviously this could happen at any campus. What should differentiate them is how they handle it. Pussies, ala Mizzou. Or something more sane, which we should all prey our schools are equipped to do.

Does the system really work when the unhappiness is misdirected and potentially unfounded?

I don't give a frick if you like Mizzou or not, but even saying that is putting a huge amount of bias into anything you say here and makes you look dumb as frick.

YOU said this wouldn't happen at LSU. YOU insinuated the culture is different with black students on campus.

That leads to one of two scenarios.

Either you don't believe there are racist events that happen at LSU or you believe that your black population is sufficiently suppressed to the point that they wouldn't protest. That's it.

No need to answer because you are wrong about my original point. The LSU BOC would have taken the exact same course of action IF presented with the same situation. You're wrong.

I'm still trying to figure out what part of our culture doesn't fit with Tigerlaff's?

Well, then, I assume you didn't join the protest. The people that protested certainly thought that the president should resign, and those people were able to leverage their power into making it happen. The only thing that bothers some people in this discussion is that the people with the political capital are black in this case. If white people had gotten pissed for some reason and forced the president of a college out of office, it would be business as usual.

In your opinion. In the opinion of the people doing the protesting, it was completely legitimate.

He was white and black people wanted him to lose his job. It's about as simple as that. OH HE RACIST!!! DAT WHITE CRACKA RACIST!!

It's like asking a black person why the confederate flag is racist...all the can say is "uhhhhh because it is racisss, slavery"

I also am smart enough to realize this is not the mindset or views of a lot of educated black people in this world who are rational

If he doesn't support his players, he'd never have another decent player of color play for him.

Am I wrong about what I said? If that makes me racist than so be it I'm racist.

Correct me if I am wrong, would this be as big of story of the president was black?
