His time on the main line will be short lived, if he even makes it out of classification.

I'm enraged by this.

Bullshitting and trolling aside, Springfield is a pretty damn safe and wonderful city, and I've lived in awesome places like San Diego and Morehead City, NC.

This isn't a Springfield problem. This is a psycho problem that could occur anywhere at any time. It happens in the smallest of towns as well as the largest of cities.

My heart breaks for this girl's family. I can't imagine what she experienced. Her family will be haunted forever.

And, on top of that, this act of evil has tarnished a wonderful city's reputation and violated the community's innocence.

This man should die slowly and experience the most extreme pain imaginable.

Main line? = General population prison?

I hate that guys like this will spend years and years on death row and cost tons of tax dollars.

Yes. This guy will never see general population. He will be in PC from the time he steps into jail and all the way to prison.

What the heck? You had probable cause, bust his f'n door down when you find him.

I hope they put him in general population in prison

I hope someone beats the living shite out of this guy or anyone else like him. I dont know how some of the guys who commit these crimes survive living with some of the sane people who end up in there for non-sickening and cruel stuff.

There's a lot of anger in the community over the police response. It could get ugly.

First, this story hits really close to home. My daughter spent the night with a friend over the weekend about 5 blocks from where this happened. I have friends with young kids living about two blocks from the murderer's house.

Second, the police response was excellent. The plates on the vehicle were registered to the guy's parents who live in a different town. They went there first before learning where the son lived. They had the guy in custody in less than four hours. Unfortunately it wasn't fast enough to save her.

They entered the home immediately without a warrant to determine if anyone was inside in need of help. That's when they smelled the bleach and got the warrant. By that time she was already dead. Thankfully they did it by the book so this piece of shite won't walk due to tainted evidence.

But someone other than the perp needs to get blamed as well....it's a society thing.
