Prayers to the crew of the missing helicopter. Unit is HMLA-469 out of Camp Pendleton.
This hits home for me have a lot of close friends and colleagues in that unit from when I was with 369 on the west coast.

Prayers to the soldiers/marines and their families.
Few seem to care though ... a train full of NYers/Philliers has wrecked and taken center stage.
Both are tragic ... it's a shame we jump from one story to the next so quickly.

This hits close to home as Camp Pendleton is home base to more than a few of my neighbors, one of which is in a helo squadron.
Helos are a real bitch when they fail.
I'm always glad to hear we are lending a helping hand when needed, but losing some of our troops while doing it really sucks.
