It's going to be interesting to see where this particular arctic blast compares to the mega outbreaks of Jan 1985, Dec 1989, Dec 1983, Jan 1977, and Feb 1996. The next 72 hours have a chance to fall somewhere in the middle of theae outbreaks especially when it comes to how low the high temps are forecasted to be.

They've gone from predicting 9 inches of snow here to 1/2 inch. I'm clearly in the wrong profession.

They've revised us going down to 1 in the morning and 23 for the high. By the weekend, we'll be back in the 60's.
