I made the trek to Sarasota, FL from Newport News, VA to pick up my sister and drive her to Knoxville, TN, then back to Newport News.

Total drive time was 37 hours.

That trip reminded me why I hate driving in Texas

Yeah. There are some amazing figures on geography and how Texas can be a nightmare. Head west from El Paso or East from Beaumont and you'll make it to either coast before you'll make it to each other.

I always told people that ask where I'm from that I'm in the geographic center of Texas and I can drive 6 hours in about any direction and not make it out of the state.

First trip moving from Oxford to Scottsdale, AZ was 1500 miles.

Then moving from Scottsdale to Nashville was something like 1700 miles.

Now I may be moving back to Scottsdale.

Don't know exactly how many hours, but I drove from Norfolk to Houston through that blizzard in Feb 2010 in a 92 Buick LeSabre with no heater.

It's a different experience when you have to have your dad sit shotgun with the ice scraper and periodically scrape off the inside of the windshield.

Not by myself, but Starkville to Boise, Idaho. About 2,000 miles.

NE Mississippi to Ontario, Canada... I've done it 3 times but the first 2 trips we stopped and spent the night in Madison, WI.. The last time we went everyone on the trip had a license so we never stopped and drove in shifts.. 28 hours straight in a 1987 Suburban... Never again.

You talking cars or any vehicle? I had to do Delhi India to Chicago once. 17 hours in coach. it SUCKED.

I do Atlanta to Tokyo a couple of times a year with onward connects to other parts of Asia. ATL-TYO is 14 hours. Anywhere else in Asia from TYO runs between 3 and 9 additional hours. Did that one 2 weeks ago.

Ah, I believe this thread was meant for me.

I am currently on a 26 hour drive from Oxford to Pinedale WY. We left at 10 last night and haven't stopped so far except for gas. Adderall is a helluva drug.

We've currently been driving through Kansas for about 4 hours and it is dreadful. Is there a worse consistent drive that anyone is aware of other than Kansas?

Chico, CA to Mobile, AL is probably the longest in one uninterrupted stretch. Around 36 hours. Also went Mobile to Portland but made a half day stop in Boise. Went Mobile straight to Vegas too, around 24 hours.
