What makes the perfect burger (condiments) etc. Or who makes the best burger for those that eat at restaurants?

Mayo AND mustard. Cheese, onion, pickle, bacon, and jalapeños. No lettuce or tomatoes. If I wanted a salad I would've ordered a salad.

I think lettuce and tomatoes make the burger. Never tried the jalapenos but I might do it next time.

It's a balancing act.

Cheese compliments the beef type flavors.

Tomatoes for acid. Pickles are acceptable. Mustard overpowers the burger.

Onions are a must. Lettuce for a little coolness to cut down a little fattiness.

Good bun. Maybe bacon and you set.

See, I'm a mustard is a must and onions overpower it guy. Grilled or caramelized onions are acceptable though.

I use a mix of ground chuck(for the fat)and ground sirloin(for the flavor). Add a little S&P and onion powder, grill to medium, with American cheese. I like tomato and mustard only on mine.

If I'm feeling exotic, I love a black & bleu burger with some Maytag Bleu cheese.

Mustard on the bottom of the bun

Mayo (blue plate) on the top bun. Ketchup on the burger with 4 thin dill pickle slices

Sounds good. For me it starts with the quality of the beef. I like a toasted bun, pepper jack cheese, onions, lettuce, tomatoes and thinly sliced bacon. I've been known to spread hot chow chow to replace the pickles.

I can't do mustard at all. Mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, bacon, homemade bread and butter pickle if available.

The first burger ever made in this country did not consist of ketchup.

Fact.

Start with a 1/3 patty. Next have a toasted buttery bun. Then instead of mayo, mustard and ketchup, add barbecue sauce and ranch. Put in 3-4 slices of lightly done bacon, 2 slices of cheddar cheese, and order a salad on the side if you lettuce and tomato.

I have burgers either one of two ways:

Lettuce
Tomato
Mayo
Cheese
pickles
onions

OR

Guac
Cheese
lettuce
tomato
fried egg (over medium, optional)
mayo (optional)

Both are delicious.

Holy shite man I had a grilled cheeseburger one time. Two grilled cheese sandwhiches with a burger in the middle my mind was blown

Ordered this once by mistake. When I reread what I ordered I was stunned that was a thing. It was delicious though. Even had bacon and a fried egg on it.
