You got a better idea?
ABSOLUTELY!

The next time the aristocrats (thanks genro) demand that our government/media/military do their dirty work to line their pockets, we tell them to "GO frick YOURSELF!"

There probably would not be an ISIS had we done what we should have done a day or so after 9 -11.

Nuked Tora Bora and the terrorist camps in Afghanistan. Put some Tomahawks through certain peoples windows that financed Al Qaeda and announced to the world that there would be no next time, that we will totally destroy anyone for even trying such a thing again. We could have done it and no one would have dared said anything unless they wanted to glow in the dark too. You cannot do what was done to us we will not tolerate it ever.
Yeah, it was almost like fighting "terrorists" wasn't even the objective at all.

Gosh, golly, gee, what other reason could there have been to go over there?

Those animals in the ME understand raw power and brute force very well.
A rather odd statement coming from someone who lives in and fully supports a country with the largest and most destructive military on the planet.

Disagree.....we should tell them to suit up, grab a weapon, enjoy the desert and get $3.50 a day.

Your Milquetoast approach is why we still have the problem today. Unfortunately the window for the decisive and war ending strategy I advocated has likely closed. It had to be done right after 9-11, no one would have dared opposed it at that time.

Today, we need to step up with a covert war. You take out the backers and financiers. It takes money and arms to jihad all over the world. The ones in the shadows don't have a death wish like the useful idiots they manipulate to do the dirty work. A few well placed sniper rounds and some drive by killings would do more to end this than a hundred F 18 sorties.

And before you start with the tin foil funny hat Bushbushbushhalliburton crap, Obama has had 6 and a half years to bring Kumbaya to us all as he said he would.

I appreciate what you're doing here, but the amount of people who are completely cool with this always amazes me. I think we should nuke Alabama and/or Ohio and use that as a case study to see if nuking the ME is a viable option.

If the objective was to defeat the enemy, yes.

But that doesn't seem to have ever been the objective, does it.

Again, this is what you would do if your objective was to defeat an enemy. But since this isn't happening, one would have to assume that this is not (nor has it ever been) the objective.

You are a fool if you believed anything he ever said.

For the last time, it has become painfully obvious that defeating an enemy was never the objective to being there.
After nearly 14 years of banging your head against the wall, what is it going to take for you and the rest of America to realize this?

That's all any of us want to know.

Who is profiting from this contrived war on terror and invasion of the Middle East? Work back from there and you might start finding some answers.

Except NOBODY is doing that. Why do you think that is?

I would enjoy seeing a Battle Royale between the Mexican Cartels and ISIS. Everybody wins.
