Since this and The War of Northern Aggression are nothing alike, I doubt you will get many bites.

If I had ever done anything whatsoever to help the Nazis in any way whatsoever, the very last damned thing I would ever do now is march down a street and be proud of it.

I might be a little hazy on my Eastern Front history, but the Latvians were pretty enthusiastic about helping the SS "evacuate" Latvian Jews. As a matter of fact, Latvians did almost all the work eliminating around 90% of their Jewish population.

agforlife, you need to do some research into those who joined the SS from other countries. Almost literally no one was forced to join the SS. Period. There are numerous historical books out there on the SS, each with chapters on the foreign divisions & one message is repeated over & over again in all the books. Those that joined and fought for the SS were not forced to do so. I respect no one in the SS. It was declared a criminal organization for a wide variety of reasons.

^^This. Those who joined the SS in these countries were no better than NAZI collaborators in so many other countries. In fact, they are worse because they joined the freaking SS. But what both groups have in common is that they took the benefits of working with NAZI Germany and/or becoming an outright NAZI (either through party membership or membership in the SS) at the price of betraying, spilling blood, and oppressing their neighbors. And often times they did all of that on a full belly, a nice (stolen) place to live, and other luxury benefits while their neighbors and even family and friends starved.
