A guy that was in a couple of my classes in college was from Taiwan.

He told us that they would hunt those things and eat them.

The pic below shows the actual size of this mild-mannered bat that is frequently adopted as a pet. It is not a monster bat that steals children from school playgrounds.

Bats are one of my favorite mammal species. We have 15 species of them in Kentucky. I grew up admiring them.
