It's on nfl.com. Signing up is very easy. League name is Tup's League and password is ilovetup. Email me at tupeloreb10@gmail.com if you have any questions

Mississippi's lack of large cities (or just a large city in general) is really interesting to me. I think it's because there aren't any real "fall lines" on the rives in MS.

In other states, a lot of cities are built on the fall line of the river- that is where the Coastal plain meets the highlands. It's also as far up as you can get on the river until it becomes unnavigable (or this was the case until dams).

This is a map of the Gulf Coastal Plain. As you can see, the entire state of MS is in it.

All of this means that there weren't places you had to stop going up-river and put materials on a train in Mississippi: you could just keep going to the regional transportation hubs in Memphis and New Orleans. Thus leaving Mississippi essentially an economic stepping stone

That's just my theory, based on my understanding of geography (GY minor). It's not proven in any way

And culturally, Memphis fits in much better with Mississippi than Tennessee.

Tennessee is such a weird state in general. Possibly the most diverse "Southern" landscape in the South.

Yes it is. The topography changes so much from one side of the state to another. It's just so long. We're the Delta, and they're the mountains.
