Depends on the target audience
If this is some drink loaded with caffeine and sugar where a few make you see stuff like this then mission probably accomplished.

It puts it in your brain. Everybody went to work/ school today and said "Hey did you see that weird Mountain Dew commercial?".
People are going to be in the gas station looking at the drink cooler and subconsciously pause at the Mountain Dew Kickstart because that ad is in their brain. Young kids who especially thought it was hilarious will be more apt to go out and consciously seek the product, and now you're building a base for the future.
