Obama or a more capable president needs to hold a meeting with all middle eastern leaders and say, "we are cutting ties with the region until further notice. All oil/gas/other forms of energy producers in north amercia will get tax free growth for the next 10 years or however long it takes us to get energy independent. Kick out ISIS and other radical groups and we will invest in your region again. Good luck."

Force the leadership in the Middle East to make the change or else they never will. No western leaders have the balls to do this, but this is the only way anything will change.

This indeed.

Really, all regions of the world need to come together and come up with coalition forces to deal with extremist groups.

Europe included.

makes Saudi Oil look like a single refinery

it's just all in mud and would be expensive to extract it iirc
