It was the concept of Love being a form in another dimension. She knew what the message meant, but she didnt know who it was from. In her later years she realizes that it could only be from her father leading her to the watch he gave her. The watch, it seemed, was the only way he could transmit the data using gravity. Crazy ish man.

It felt like a science fiction movie destined to someday not be so fictional.

i love all of his movies, but let's not pretend like Dark Knight Rises payed attention to every detail... or even most.
Well I meant the others besides the Dark Knight trilogy

My only issue was the organ music blasting my ears away.
I really liked the soundtrack and think it added a lot to the movie. Nolan wanted this to be a combination of a religious experience and the most epic funeral of all time for mankind's rebirth. So the organ music worked IMO.

Oh and Matthew Mcconaughey is a horrible actor however besides Dallas Buyers Club
I thought he was great in it, especially when he went through all the messages that his kids left him over a 23 year period.

And they wouldn't have the power to get off the first planet they went too.
I buy it because they were trying to save on fuel leaving from Earth, so just using the landers to get into space would have been a bad idea.

Sad but true to both of them. It's really sad to me that most idiots don't want to invest in anything that will take more than 4 years to pay off on it. We've become incredibly short sighted and I fear by the time we realize how much we've fricked ourselves as a species, it will be too late. Both Interstellar and Idiocracy will sadly be seen as visionary movies for what lies ahead of us.

If you watched interstellar 5 times in a row, and remained baked throughout, I'm gonna need your guys number.

Masterful film. I don't even care about the science or lack thereof or plot holes or lack thereof or fan boys or haters, it was just a powerful film

So how did the long arse equation for gravity become embedded in the watch so that it would repeat itself over and over and over again

It's really just a number he's embedding on there, rather than the whole equation. I'm sure it just took a few weeks of trial and error and putting decimal points and number order where they needed to be.

Ok, the movie portrays it as an extremely long equation put into morse code.
But let's set that aside and say it was just 1,2,3
How did he make the watch repeat the sequence over and over and over limitlessly? You cannot program a watch like that.

It's not an equation, it's data that they're missing. They knew what the equation is, they just don't have enough data which is the singularity.

I agree. The soundtrack was amazing. It was just loud at times..... especially the state of mind I was in at the time I could see the funeral, rebirth concept. Makes sense now.

trust me... it was a space trip just watching the movie alone. For the first 4 times the moment after he went through the black hole I went blank. My mind stranded away and I had to watch the movie all over again.
I couldn't take all the science at one time,
