I could make a thread titled "weather outside today" and the mutts would flock to it, like stink on shite.

Probably.
The whole thing is ironic humor. The bottle flip. The over-reaction. His advice on how to flip the bottle at the end. It is all tongue in cheek, which makes it hilarious. The music, the slow-mo gait on stage - it is all mocking pretty much everything in our culture.
It is hilarious.
