I do have one question though:

What if, most of the time, I do feel that he is worth the effort plus some? Is he worth waiting for?

Hope you find someone close to you to lean on, Coastie. Until then, you've at least got us crazy folks

After Kawhi's first season I thought "he's gonna be the new Bruce Bowen." Now, I can honestly see why Pop thought he could build the next Spurs around him. Kawhi is legit on offense and defense, AND has the same composure as Timmy.

If you ever decide you like the complete opposite of your current preferences, holler.

Then you don't burn bridges you might want to cross again some day. But you don't hang on either. If it's just bad timing, it might work out down the road. I wouldn't "wait" though. Live your life. Be happy. And see where things go.

But honestly? What I think, and what I would do - doesn't matter. What matters is what YOU think.

I will say this though. People are never more attentive, or make more effort, than at the beginning of a relationship. In my experience.

I admit I was PISSED when I heard SA traded away George Hill (still one of my favorite players) for some rookie I'd never heard of before, but I was so very wrong about him. Kid is blossoming before our eyes--I love his work ethic and his confidence. He's a stud.

shite, he makes Timmy look like an exciteable child Even Duncan screams when he dunks occasionally, and has exhibited way more emotion than folks give him credit for.

Kawhi takes that to a new level. Throws down a statue of liberty dunk over two guys and turns and runs back on defense without so much as changing expression. I love it! Kid is a Spur through and through

I agree. I call it the 3 month rule. People change after 3 months. It usually takes longer than 6 weeks though.
