because the more boards you can post on, the more e cred you have here. that's my take on why the vast majority ask for access

Yeah despite the general hate for all other fanbases that is spread around on tRant there are many fans of football in general who want to talk about it without having to deal with a bunch of smartasses.

is this a good idea? im thinking of unstickying the howdy thread cause no one has posted in it in 2014 and replacing it with an OT thread. just a discussion thread for anything not related to a&m. think that would work?

For example, sometime I want to have a rational discussion about a certain team.
This is not possible on the SECr.
I casually like programs like Mizzou, Arkansas, A&M, South Carolina. I don't dickride them but I'm interested.
Bring up Arky or A&M on the SECr. Watch what happens.

Yep we have more than a few LSU fans on our board and we had many a good discussion about recruiting this year and there was no BS over Speedy. It was great.

Well, now I'm thinking maybe I should give this a try. The rant can be a real cesspool sometimes. There are some damn good posters there and some really good discussion once in a while, but I'm frankly over the constant, stale, painfully unfunny flaming that goes on.

You'll also find LSU fans trolling Bama in virtually every thread in SECr history. Including those that have nothing to do with Bama.

I usually only post on boards I have access too for a flame free'ish discussion before Ark plays that team. Other than the random piggyoverlord posts on the aTm board.

Don't get me wrong there is some good natured joking that goes on but nothing serious. At least on tAggyArk and I've never had any problems on other boards except tiger rant but I understand why it happens over there and I don't post enough there for that to ever change
