I've had no use for Facebook since I graduated college and the spring break bikini pictures turned to pictures of babies.

I've got about 10 people I like to share stuff with on there, it's an easy way to share something funny or a link to music. I pretty much eliminated everyone but them today.

Easy solution, unfollow anyone that annoys you.

80% of my newsfeed are posts from things, not people, that I follow. The Farmacy, Naturalnews, Dangerous Minds, Free and Equal, bands..

Basically I turned it into my twitter, but it's better because there are more visuals with the posts.

What happened with the family?

I've got an attention whore sibling that would stop me from attending my niece's birthday parties if I unfriended her without closing my account down.

Did you leave the family in the circle?

So you can just unfollow somebody without removing them as a friend.

Hover over the little arrow that's barely visible in the upper right corner of a post, select 'hide all from X person' and you won't see them on your newsfeed anymore.

They have no idea, so no feelings get hurt.

Just make sure to occasionally check in on these certain needy family members or friends, throw em a few 'likes' every now n then and all will be good.

I've been doing the whole "I don't check facebook, I'm too God damned busy lately" thing, but this makes it easier to not get annoyed.

Ditto, mostly. I like staying in touch with old friends and newer friends I don't talk to routinely. I don't get the whining about FB. If you find someone annoying, drop 'em. End of problem.

The key to Facebook is to never write anything, ever, and simply use it to see if girls from the past have gotten fat or not.

This is what I do. I post on facebook about once every 6 months and it is usually just a video or something. Otherwise it is to look at some pictures of hot girls.
