That has nothing to do with the fact slave labor is being used which is artificially lowering the cost.

Ive been trying to point this out to people for years now. Our buying power is a big benefit to what Chinas rich people have to offer and that is cheap slave labor. If those people were paid proper salaries and the work conditions had to upgrade up to US standards our consuming power would be cut in half (at the least).

Unbiased news and op-ed, if such things exist, is not equal to truth.

In my opinion, there is truth in all of their slanted material. The biggest problem with this country is the people that think their view is the right one and can't even give a differing perspective a fair shake. I'm not saying any of it will change your mind, just that you should listen to opposing viewpoints with an open mind.

It is just sorting wheat from chaff.

I agree.

I use a dumb house building analogy a lot.

People are unwilling to accept something as true and apply it to other truths to build a different perspective on something they already hold firm beliefs.

If you stand up one 2X4 and then let it fall down before putting up the next one you're never going to build anything, never going to see a different perspective.

I'd agree with this, on the stipulation that many times the narrative at face value really is all there is to a story. I find that many simply cannot FATHOM that Oswald acted alone for instance.

Moreover, none of us are entirely consistent across all our beliefs. We all believe at least a few things which, in light of other beliefs, are contradictory.

For instance, I dont believe the universe has any ultimate purpose but I find myself enjoying it and wanting to live all the same. If I were entirely consistent, Id kill myself and avoid needless suffering,

I read and watch PBS and BBC. They lean a little left, but they are as about middle of the road as I've found.

It's amazing to watch the BBC's morning news show vs Fox or CNN. They cover actual news.

unbiased news coverage

If such a thing existed, it would be the most boring news coverage ever, as it would have to relegate itself to facts only, thus rendering every story a paragraph at most.

I can't remember the last time I watched a news program. I haven't even watched a full local news show in probably a year or two.

newsnow . co . uk
newsdaily . com

imo, are the 2 best sites to get news from, after that, I like reuters.

It's not a 24/7 type news outlet, but Pro Publica offers some fantastic in-depth investigative journalism. Worth checking out.

I need a money tree. I believe the tree I need and the news source you seek reside in the same place.

Now tell me where it is when you find it.

Thanks.
