I think internet porn is destructive for most people, and incredibly destructive for some. It can also spice up a couple's sex life to an extent, but sometimes that evolves into something unhealthy.
i'm kinda in this camp. fully admit as a christian that it's something i've watched, but know i should not have. my wife and i did a few time, but she just said it made her feel kinda dirty afterwards and so we don't any more. still have what i would call a healthy sex life.
that being said, just like gay marriage, i think that the world shouldn't live by my standards.
quote:
Personally, I wish there had never been any internet porn. It would have saved a massive amount of wasted time and productivity, saved a lot of marriages, prevented a lot of murders/suicides, saved a lot of lives, especially people under age 18, and no one would have missed it.
i actually think free/paid internet porn is a terrible thing. most people that have SOs OK with it, so wouldn't be a big problem, but i can guarantee you that i would never walk into an adult film store and buy/rent a video. since it's readily available online, it's more appealing and more easily obtained without scrutiny.
a case in point: i have a good friend that is now running around on his wife. something that came to light in all the drama is that the dude has been spending 100s a month in internet porn sites over the last couple of years. his frustration with his wife was that she never did it enough or as raunchy as the girls in the porn did and he eventually just bailed.
now he's just a shithead for cheating, no two ways about it, but i think the porn exacerbated the issue.

He was a certifiable asshat who was a tater and had the typical tater kind of entitled attitude. A mistake I will never, ever repeat.

Thing was she wasn't the least bit overweight, but she thought she was.
She was 100% crazy though, and those pills made it worse.

They did the Baker's Man wrong at the end of the bronze medal game in Rio
That was NOT a blocking foul.

I give it up three years ago. The wife developed a bad taste for it and started giving me a hard time when I watched so I just give it up. Before that I watched on average about twice a month.

Internet porn is one of the greatest inventions in the history of man.
There is no such thing as a porn addiction. The existence of a porn addiction is not supported by the scientific literature.
It is not harmful in any way.
People who have problems because of porn were already screwed up people to begin with.

Women who hate porn are often hypocrites.

explain. i wouldn't say my wife hates porn, but she doesn't care for it and wouldn't like it in our bedroom.
i'll say hardcore stuff is a hard no. scinemax stuff she was a little more favorable.

Sure.
Most of the women I know who get offended by porn aren't mad that the woman in it are objectified, or the fact that it creates an unrealistic portrayal of sex or whatever.
Instead most of them approach it from a jealousy angle, like I don't want my man to watch it. Sometimes it's veiled in religious overtones but often its about jealousy.
Implicit in that is control. The woman wants control over the sexuality of the man, and she is jealous when porn gives him some of that control back. She is a hypocrite because what she wants is the same reason the porn is sold.
Bonus points if the woman is being fridged with the guy so he has no way to get his rocks off.

Well put.
Per par for you
The great thing for me about having a wife who doesn't have a hangup over porn is the fact that it takes away a potential layer of secrecy. I'm not worried about her "discovering" my porn stash or looking through my phone/laptop. Not that she does that, as she's doesn't give enough of a frick (pardon the pun) to go rifling through my stuff with ill intent.
Conversely, she doesn't feel that I think less of her because she'll watch it occasionally.
It's a tool. Like any tool, it can be used responsibly or abused. Used constructively or destructively. Depends on the individual.

Just following your lead.
Seriously though I am trying to be a better poster recently. The failed bet with RB10 made me think "what fun is trolling really?" Instead I am trying to engage people directly, compliment when it's warranted, and appreciate the fact that somehow this place became a part of my life.
And I am serious as hell about helping you start a blog if you want. You can have Aggiesinthesec, it isn't that hard to get a WordPress setup going. Email me if you wanna.
