Both of Missouri's largest cities are desperately trying to escape the state and you say that about Kansas?

Mmmmm, looks like lack of regulation in the beer industry is leading to out of control markets. Anyone can just start a brewery!

I think what we need is more Obama regulation and control of the beer market, so they can decide 'fair and reasonable' competition and prices. We don't want Budweiser to fail due to too much better beer on the market.

Metro Memphis is like 1/3 the size of Metro St. Louis

There are so many parallels to be made between St Louis and Memphis it is almost too obvious. And the commonalities between the two, the destructive denominators, are pretty-much exactly the same.

Like BBQ, breweries and the Cardinals right ?

stop beating around the bush and just come out and say black and crack you old codger.

I believe the more apropos comparison would be St Louis to Memphis.

Agree Scrooster......I'm 55 and grew up in Memphis as kid thru about 13 and Memphis was a great city.....now they should blow it up. Downtown St. Louis (not the burbs) and Memphis are very similar but the burbs in Memphis are bad.

It's just drug and crime infested.....there are places I used to go 20 yrs ago I wouldn't go to now with 50 bodyguards.

Pretty sure Detroit's decline was caused by much of the auto industry moving manufacturing out of the city.

Strange how this didn't happen across the river in Windsor.

LA and Miami have had horrible race riots in the past and it didn't cause those cities to rot

I'd say there are whole sections of east LA that are rotten.

It's now generally accepted that the cause of Detroit's accelerated decline was the extreme race riots, followed by poor leadership and a pronounced flight of wealth from the city. Is St. Louis headed in the same direction? If so, its sad, I enjoyed visiting the Landing and thought the Basilica was the most beautiful cathedral in the States.

How soon until St. Louis arrives at the point Detroit is now?

St. Louis and Detroit are not similar.

St. Louis is perhaps the most misunderstood major city in America.

It's structured unlike any other city with unique legal separation between the city and the surrounding metro area.

There is basically a second downtown in Clayton, which is extremely affluent.

Everything is spread out in different pockets, it's so different than most cities.

The Illinois side is blowing up lately too.

So much more could be said, but why waste the time.

St. Louis is a fine city, very misunderstood -- unfortunately to the average clueless person they might think it's on the same path as Detroit.

because you're an insufferable beaker sympathizer who happens to like cock.

I don't like beakers and I most certainly don't puff on cock cigars.

Therefore, in my humble opinion, you're the worst of the worst.

Being funny is cool, taking advantage of a good opportunity to give jabs is too. Being sarcasm ect. All good.

Idk. I guess I just don't see the point in making random comments that aren't true, or intended to be funny. I guess it's just not something I understand.
