Chicken's reason was legit, I understood.
Didn't want just anyone being able to come onto the rant and collect demographic data of the posters here. Probably good to protect his income as well as poster privacy, even if it was voluntary.

Yea it was legit so I didn't raise a stink. I would have removed the questions had he asked though and if he was smart he could use that info to tailor his pitch to people interested in buying ad space but whatever.

I'm pretty sure it's a given that it's at least 80% male and white here.
If you added a question asking if the posters were in the market for a new television, computer, car, or vacation in the next three months it might have been able to slide.

That was always my assumption too, I included the questions because I was curious. The results matched my expectations except for the Ninjas bit. I had no idea that nearly 3% of Ranters are fullblown professional ninjas. We have as many ninjas here as we do female posters.

How do you know when you're unbanned? Do you get an email or do you just have to keep checking?

they usually send you a pm saying you can post again. while you are banned you can't remove the pm they send
