Back strains are no joke. The pain is bad but the immobility is scary.

Yep, and couple that with the fact I work 55 to 65 hours a week as well as take weekly AA meeting into a halfway house and a prison each week and I do get pressed for time as well, but like I said it'll happen just takes time and effort.

Actually I appreciate women who can value themselves based on something other than their weight. After getting married I have seen the negative pressure women put on themselves about their weight up close and I think that people shouldn't add to personal insecurities.

But the issue isn't just weight. Any time we put young thin hot white women on the pedestal we are devaluing older women, fat women, minority women, etc. Some people are fat because they are lazy but some really have medical issues. Even the ones who are skinny get old, and it's not fair that society values women over 40 so little when for men you have to hit 70 to be sexually unviable.

On the flipside, I dislike women who KNOW they are hot and expect the world to bend down for them because of it. It is a two way street, and I think that some women tie too much value to their appearance either way.

Seeing as I shot way more dope than I drank, I put a few on as a result of getting sober but as I've said they're going to come off, slowly and healthily

Most of my problem is food and I've made an effort to eat better and walking and bicycling are next up on the list, I'd love to be able to run but my knees won't allow it and my back keeps me from lifting because I can't afford to slip a little and be down for a week. It's baby steps right now but it'll get done.

If you can find a local gym that has one, I very highly recommend using a free motion elliptical. You can do anything from walk, stairs, or giant gazelle strides, all without any impact. It allows you to run in your natural running motion. It's the only machine I've ever used that I actually enjoy using.

Yeah if I was ever in one place long enough to belong to a gym that's what I'd do, but I work all over the state and am never in the same place for more than a day or two with the occasional exception so I'm going with a bike that I can throw in the back of my company truck and take with me wherever I go. I've only been sober and taking care of myself for 5 years and for the 1st three there were medical issues that had to be taken care of, 30 years of meth abuse does a number on your biological systems

If you think biology and genetics don't matter in who is fat and who is skinny then you are an idiot. Anybody can be active and eat right and help themselves some. But there are people who are pretty much gonna be big barring drastic measures. There are also people who will be bone skinny no matter how lazy they are. I can give you plenty examples of both. One of my best friends hasn't regularly exercised in his whole life and eats horrible and is nothing but skin and bone. I have friends who constantly play sports and workout and try to eat right and are just big.

The liberal thing nowadays is forcing people to go vegan and eat quinoa. Not sure where people get the idea that fat acceptance is a liberal idea.

lel

Liberalism is all about pushing acceptance of everything under the sun. Some things I have absolutely no problem with, obviously, but don't be so open-minded that your brain falls out.

Fat people are behind the fat acceptance movement. It's not a liberal or conservative idea. It's a fat idea.
