I'm a lefty.
One time in little league I wasn't paying attention ( I was really bad at baseball) and lined up right handed and jacked a triple. My coach asked me what the hell that was and I didn't have an answer. after that he made me switch hit every other bat. I couldn't field for crap but I could smack anything that came at me either handed.

I beat off with my left, but that's because i can only use a mouse with my right.

In all seriousness, there is a continuum of handedness, some people who are left handed are able to do more fine motor skills with their right hands, but they haven't figured out if that is environmental. There is a complex genetic component that goes along with it as well.
I strongly favored my left hand pretty early on, but I am strongly left handed. I am also left footed and left eye dominant. Some left handed people are right footed and some are right eye dominant, or any combination of the three.

I am left handed and my mother says I always reached with my left hand. I have a niece and now a great-nephew who aren't left handed and both of them showed a preference before they were a year old.
We left-handed people are the only ones in our right mind.

My son is 4 and he swings left handed but throws right. He has been doing this since about a year and half. Because of this we held off a little on getting golf clubs since we were sure if he was really going to need Left handed clubs.

I'm a southpaw. My mom said since I was very young a did everything with my left hand. I kick left footed, but I am right eye dominate. I play golf left handed, but I learned guitar right handed ( thank goodness.)

I'm right handed at everything except cranking one off. Then I'm strongly left handed.

I'm primarily right handed & right footed. When I was little (up to about 12yrs old) I played a lot of soccer. I could kick with either foot equally well but it was more trained than ability.
However, I don't have a dominant eye. When shooting a shotgun or rifle, I can shoot off either shoulder equally well.
