In the wake of Pilini's social embarrassments, AD Eichorst wanted to replace him with a gentleman. NU fans keep asking if a gentleman who went 3-9 at Oregon State was the only available candidate.

Scott Frost didn't have the necessary experience at the time. He only had two years of OC experience and he had Marcus Mariota as his QB for both of those years. It would have been a huge risk for Nebraska to hire Frost.
