I remember in 2009 being very rude to my wife after an Ole Miss loss. It was then and there that I started really trying to emotionally detach myself as a fan. People in general are too important to let a game affect my treatment of them, much less my family.

If I post a meltdown thread, it's always tongue in cheek. I just like to have fun on the board. I can guarantee you I haven't lost sleep due to a football game in a few years now and it's better that way.

Good stuff.

Again, it's why I take the dog on a walk. Clear your mind, and the dog is having fun.

No reason to be an a-hole to anyone IMO.

Yeah. My "moment" was the 2010 Music City Bowl against UNC. I was really ashamed of how I behaved there in the stadium.

From then on, I promised I would handle things better and not get so wrapped up. I even helped a Kentucky fan down from a seating area so he could rush the field after beating us

I was at that game too. With my parents and my now ex-wife. After the game, we were all walking back to the car when we hear this guy yell out "Buy your tickets to next year's frick you in The arse Bowl"..... was that you?

I was pretty pissed too, though I kept my composure until we got to the hotel, then the now ex-wife got mad at me because I tried to PIIHB GODDAMN SELFISH BITCH is what she is.

3 months later, we separated and divorced.

If you can't appreciate the incredible game that was played last night, you don't deserve to be an Alabama fan. That was an historical game that will live on in SEC lore as long as football is played.

I'd hate to know what you do to her after a delta state loss.

Simple its just a game and your program has as much if not more hardware than any other so deal with it and enjoy the fact it was a helluva game. Or just imagine if y'all got blown out 60 to 0 and see if that puts in into prospective

This wasn't even that bad... nothing compared to 2010; and certainly not what the Tuberville years were like

No, that wasn't me

I was just kinda cursing up a storm in my seat like a jackass redneck when the referee said there was one second left on the clock. To lose like that on top of the LSU loss that year, I kinda...lost it

This is it. I call it an emotional disconnect though.

It is easier to disconnect when you are crappy though lol. You can really get caught up when things are good.
