Not sure if anyone has heard this yet, but apparently they are holding back large quantities of tickets from their normal consumer sales in order to scalp them later on StubHub when they say it is "sold out".

Pretty damn shady IMO. Its been a boom and a bust for GS, some people are growing tired of it but it still seems to draw the crowd year after year

They will end up eating some tickets in that case, unless they plan on stubhubing for cheaper than face value. Its been rumored for a few years now that a lot of bands / fests do this to create some sort of a false demand and drive up sales / prices.

Not surprising. Wouldn't surprise me if every festival, promoter, sports team did this. It's always given me pause when I go to Alabama games and see how prominent a sponsor StubHub is.

StubHub is a sponsor of Auburn as well. They partnered to do the resale market for season ticket holders. Now You can just log into your account and with a few clicks post a ticket on stub hub during the season

In Hangouts case the owner is stopping their direct sales to the consumers and saying its sold out, then using another business "Surf Style" to sell them on stub hub from the time they "sellout" until now.
