Being from the south I enjoyed most southern sports. Never played ice hockey or rugby. I'd consider myself well rounded but never really played much basketball.

The reason I ask is because I am amazed at the gumps from Bama acting like they only played football. Kentucky fans only played basketball etc.

Being from Florida and enjoying many sports I wonder how fans justify rooting for a team good in 1 sport. I just don't get it.

How does the team you root for compare in all sports combined? Feel free to justify your answer.

played padded tackle, shooty hoops, circle run, and guarded-shin flopping.

Best at shooty hoops.
Enjoyed padded tackle the most by far.

Aggies average or above average in all feelsgoodman.

1. Basketball
2. Football
3. Baseball

I was easily best at Basketball, could shoot the lights out as a kid.

Alabama's composite score combining the three sports is probably a 7-7.5/10 historically.

Obviously I've been pretty fortunate as to how the three teams in my sig pic have performed. Been a fan of all three since as far back as 2001.

Lots of them even played a little street hockey

Went surfing for the first time ever last summer, incredibly fun if you ever have the chance to try it out, do it

Baseball was by far my favorite sport as a kid. I grew up an A's fan. I still hate that one-legged cocksucker that broke my heart as a child. Kirk fricking Gibson.

Played in football, basketball, and baseball leagues when I was young. Enjoyed all of them. When I got older I tore up my throwing elbow and then played a lot of tennis. Later got into tournament softball and did that until I was 30ish. Really liked playing softball but had a rough game were I layed out for a short fly and bounced off the turf (played left field). Decided to hang up the cleats. Lately I just coach my kids baseball teams and play disc golf. I really enjoy the disc golf.

Edit. Left out surfing, street hockey, skateboarding.... guess I didn't consider any of those as sports until I read a couple posts in this thread. Those are more like activities to me. I guess disc golf belongs in the same category. I play in a league and tournaments, but it's really not a "sport". Anyone with some coordination and a little athleticism can do it.

You do realize that "Gumps" are not a homogenous group...right?

1. Baseball
2. Basketball
3. Football
4. Soccer

Baseball was easily my best sport and the one I played the most. I was better in football than I was basketball, mainly because being 5'9 doesn't really limit you as much in football as it does in basketball, but playing PG was a lot of fun.

Always was playing football from August through the winter. Played baseball in the spring and summer. Shot hoops, but just was not into it as much as the other two sports.

Football and basketball. Peaked at basketball in Jr High and made the team my junior year but didn't play much, I didn't given go out my senior year, it was the first time since 2nd grade I didn't play basketball.

Played little league baseball 2 years and fricking hated that slow, boring game. Baseball is a sport my grandfather played and was good at during the Great Depression.
