Beatles - "Girl". John was always the coolest and I love the non-perfection of his voice highlighted HERE

The Who - "The Kids Are Alright". I always liked their British Invasion sound the best.

The Rolling Stones - "I Can't Get No Satisfaction". The guitar riff is iconic.

Led Zepplin - "Dyer Maker". Reminds me of a girl I used to know.

Beatles - "In My Life"
Rolling Stones - "Gimme Shelter" (It was in Goodfellas!)
The Who - "Behind Blue Eyes"
Led Zeppelin - "All My Love"

Reason for the others - Lyrics, plain and simple

The Beatles: Not a fan, but my "favorite" is probably "Hey Jude" or "Elanor Rigby".

The Stones: Not a big fan, but "Sympathy for the Devil".

The Who: "Real Good Looking Boy"

Led Zeppelin: "Hey Hey What Can I Do". Really the only band on this list that I really like.

Beatles - Lucy in the Sky w/Diamonds (but there are a few others).

Stones - Gimme Shelter and Sympathy, and oddly enough my new obsession is Shattered which a lot of fans HATE but I love.(Sorry but I can't quite decide all of them tho' Gimme Shelter is prolly my fave). It's just that I could name TONS more like Let It Bleed and just tooo many others. Gimme Shelter is prolly consistent fave. Love Under My Thumb as well.

The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again

Zeppelin - damn this is another hard one... Probably the Immigrant Song.

Favorite of the list: Stones. Used to like Zeppelin better but the Stones are an absolute obsession for me lately. Beatles are the least favorite - Sgt. Pepper's was great but other than that wayyyyyyyyy to saccharine sweet.

Beatles- helter skelter

Rolling Stones- overrated shitty song

The who- even more overrated shitty song

Led Zeppelin- when the levee breaks I guess if I had to pick. Drums are rad.

The Beatles - "In My Life" is probably tops for personal reasons. But from a strictly musical standpoint I could go with "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" or "Dear Prudence".

The Stones - "Can't You Hear Me Knocking?". Because Casino, man.

The Who - "Pinball Wizard". It speaks to my inner nerd.

Led Zeppelin - "Tangerine" is probably my favorite since it's the first Zep song I really got into. But "Kashmir" is an all-time favorite as well.

The more I think about my Rolling Stones choice, I have to say "Shattered" has supplanted "Gimme Shelter" on the fave list although I do love them both. Kinda funny since so many RS fans despise Shattered and it's so different but that's my current fave. I didn't particularly like it when I first heard it but after a few listens I'm hooked - bad.

This is an old white folk thread, for sure. I hate all of those groups except Zeppelin and even them I only tolerate a few songs.

No it's not. Most of this music was 30 years old when I was in high school. Good music is timeless.
