I think anyone on welfare (not temporary unemployment or food stamps, but "get a check every month from the government" welfare) should have mandatory birth control. Women who don't get regular birth control shots don't get their checks. I also think anyone on that type of welfare shoul be required to attend classes or job training, and perform community service. I've been called a fascist for these opinions, but I think someone who needs the help of "we the people" to live should have some requirements.

Put me in charge of welfare for 5 years, with a free reign, and I'll clean things up.

Minimum wage should not be raised. As it will cost companies more in wages leading to more people to be unemployed.

I think welfare should be tied to a sterilization requirement. If you have 2 or more kids and you are on welfare, you get depo provera or you don't get assistance.

I think people who pay no taxes, including people who are going to college, should not be able to vote.

Minimum wages rising is pointless anyway. When minimum wages are raised the costs of goods and services raise as well.

I agree semo... I think welfare recipients should have to undergo mandatory random drug testing as well.

Pretty much exactly what I said. And once they get back on their feet, and can pay for their kids, go off the depo shots and have all they want.

This. Also show proof that they have been applying for jobs.

Absolutely. If they need the support of "we the people" then our expectations should be that they obey the law, work to improve themselves and get off welfare, and not bring babies into the world that they can't afford. Everyone else has requirements, why should they be exempt?

Don't they have to check into a WIN center? They do in Arkansas. I have had couple clients parents get taken off due to not looking actively.
