I don't know. He still had good people around him at the show's end. Things might go bad for Shawn, according to Michael Jacobs, but I think he'd know that he has people that care about him

I don't either. Possibly to teach a lesson since Eric was wrapped up in popularity and once school ended and everyone left him while he didn't get to college, it wrecked him a bit.
