I know the OP is a hoax, but I've always found this phrase interesting if you think about the Greek Gods and the Titans and all of that mythology from centuries ago.
Wouldn't it be something if all of that were true? That there were at one time super humans who were part God, part human? I've always pondered the idea that religion as we know it today has been split up and bastardized for political purposes and that the real truth lies within a certain combination of all religious teaching. Basically that all religions have some form of truth to them, but man wrote the teachings and ruined it over time.
Think about it, if there is a God, and he wanted the people of the world to follow his basic moral guidelines, would he not send many Sons to spread the word? That time period had limited capabilities of communication. Jesus taught his teachings in a specific area that was a small portion of the world..his message didn't reach millions of ears for a long time. Would it be reasonable that people would be punished and sent to hell for not being a Christian, when they had never heard the Christian message?
It's possible that humans ourselves are descendants of God's sons...certain human characteristics set us apart from animals. Why is that? Why are we so much more advanced..every other creature on this earth simply survives..yet for some reason we can innovate, we can talk, we can understand science and recreate it, we can create arts...music, we can reason, we have emotion. All of those characteristics are god-like. Many have no real evolutionary or survival value.
Why are some people born with more talents than others? Maybe the verse I quoted has some truth...maybe some people are descendants from mini Gods of that time and have better genetics. Who knows really? It's just all an interesting theory to think about...because honestly we don't have a damn clue about our true origins and I'm not sure if we knew the truth that we could handle it. All I know is that all of this didn't happen by chance...the way humans act, feel, think, etc is not a byproduct of some random chemical reaction that created organic matter and evolved to this. I don't buy it...theres something more powerful that exists within us that we really don't truly understand, and I think the answers were written at one time, and were either hidden or destroyed. It's a fact that many books of the Bible were left out of the versions we know...there are dozens of other writings that have been locked away in places like the Secret Archives of the Vatican that very select few people get to see.
LIke i said, it's possible most organized religion today is a bastardized version of what was really meant to be taught to us. It was bastardized by human leaders for political purposes to divide and conquer people. It's not like institutions like the Catholic Church or Church of England were free of corruption over the centuries.
It's just fascinating to think about for me...wish i had time to really read and understand more. I've long thought that if I succeed in business and retire comfortably that I would dedicate some free time to studying every word of every religion, every related document I can get my hands on, the history of recorded events at those times, and trying to cross it all together to write a book on what we know as fact that actually happened, and then theorize how it all ties together under one God and how events of the time may have caused political leaders to have incentive to change the teachings of religion for their own purpose.
