I have never met people that play Monopoly the same.

Risk is a game none of the knuckleheads I work with play the same.

21 (basketball)

I swear the rules change not just from state to state, but from one side of the city to the other

Almost sent the wife and I to counseling. Every engaged couple should have to play each other in Monopoly so they can make sure they both agree on the rules.

1). 3 & back on free throws
2). If you miss free throw at 20, you go back to 13
3). If you are down 13-0 you are skunked/eliminated.

Some folks play shooting free throws from the actual free throw line vs. the three point line

I grew up going back to 13. Some young bucks these days are saying 15

Never heard of this in 21, actually. I've played 7-0 = skunked in full court 5v5, but never seen folks eliminated in 21.

Learn something new every day

My only hard and fast rule is no tips. Even if the rest are playing tips, I don't. Just feels so cheap to me.

Rules we played when I was at SMS during summers with the team

Score 22 you go back to 14

Miss FT at 20 you go to 7

Shoot from FT line (3 FT max), can stand anywhere in lane as defender during FT

Have to check the ball on any stoppage

Must take back hits rim or not

3 point shot is 3 but can not hit a 3 to win

That, and can you buy property the first time around, or do you have to go around once before buying property? That, and can you auction off property instead of selling back to the bank?

I thought you could buy as soon as you started.

You can only mortgage and sell to bank.

No free money for landing on Free Parking.

All taxes go to the bank.

Have to go around the board once to buy.

Can sell/trade properties to other players.

All taxes go to free parking.

Land on free parking; profit.
