oh okay- those aren't the ones i was talking about. these others were flat and looked ratty enough and old back in the early 90's and were still there the last time i drove that way (but that was a good while ago). the ones you showed looked nice enough. so sad.

Problem is if you treat it legally the same as murder, most rapists would kill their victims.

Doubtful, as statistically most rapists know their victims. It's a crime of power, not so much sex. If they kill them, the power trip ends.

I hope this young lady has strong support from family and friends. And a good therapist/counselor. Please don't let her isolate herself, or think that it's in any way her fault. So, so sorry this happened to her.

There is a special place in hell for rapists. If these assholes somehow escape justice in this life, which I hope isn't the case, it'll find them eventually. Hopefully the Arkansas justice system makes them pay.

It's stories like these That make me wish I had super powers to hunt down and annihilate the scum, or stop them before happening.

Hate to hear this.

Yep. Friend of mine was raped in college, though not as gruesome as the OP. She was raped by her neighbor. She hasn't been the same since, and it's been almost 20 years.

That is terrible. It is stories like this that really break my heart and put football arguments in perspective. I can't imagine that happening to anyone or especially anyone that I know and love.

Do your best to give her as much support as possible.

Give em the ole apache prisoner treatment.

Tie em to a pole, cover them in honey, ad buy them chest deep in an ant hill.

How is she doing?

A very close friend of mine was raped almost a year ago. Turns out the guy had raped at least 6 other women, as well. His trial begins next Tuesday and she's scared shitless to testify bc she'll have to see him face to face again.

The ramifications of the rape have been extensive. She turned to "chemicals" to escape from a reality that she didn't want to face. She ran from what happened for quite a while. Thru persistence of those around her, and never ending support no matter what she did, she is now clean & sober and attending a support group for ppl in recovery as well as another support group for victims of rape. That's really, really helped her.

I'd encourage you to research help groups in her area that provide counseling for those who've experienced rape and gently suggest to her that it might be beneficial for her to talk to others who have been thru a similar experience.

I hope they catch the gutter rats that did this to her and I'll pray for her and her friends/family that this has affected as well.

Damn man that sucks. Thoughts and prayers to her and those around her. Won't lie. Don't make me feel good sending my daughter off to college for the first time in a couple of weeks.

As for these guys, no way they should ever be on the street ever again. Period. Them and child molesters never change.
