Excuse me for butting in to your personal convo -- but West Yellowstone seems a lot like a tourist trap to me. Don't want to offend, but I steer clear. Rather be at Flathead, or Glacier myself
I love Montana and think everyone should see the wonders of Yellowstone, but damn it is congested!
Okay --- carry on...

I've had the urge to want to learn how to fly fish here lately from reading "A River Runs Through It". Beautiful country.

We stopped in West Yellowstone a few days back and bought some groceries. It was packed. Small grocery store.

Sounds like the Market Place.

I agree on west yellowstone. But we are staying in Big Sky and driving to the park so west yellowstone was about our only choice to pick up some food...

Not much up here on the mountain...

West yellowstone is very touristy and crowded...

Yellowstone has been great so far.. We got lucky and the days we went during this week were not crowded in the park. It got crowded today so we won't go tomorrow.

I have my wife, kids and parents with me so I am limited on what I can do this week... Mostly riding around and just sight seeing..

We did a great little hike up here on the mountain yesterday. Have another one planned for tomorrow

The southeast corner of Yellowstone is the most remote location in the continental US. It's the farthest you can venture from any road.

Good for you! I have yet to do Yellowstone in the winter... that is the next time I go there. Have you ever done it? Seems amazing

No I have not. I have actually never been out this way in the winter. I still have snow skiing on my bucket list. I can only imagine what it looks like out here when its snow covered...

I have been out here twice. My wife and I came out here about 20 years ago. It has changed a lot. Big Sky Montana has really grown up..

Im not a skier, but my youngest lives in Boulder and my daughter lives in Taos, so Ive spent a good bit of time in the west the last few years. Something about the west that draws me back.
Last year I drove the Alaska highway -- if you like Montana and adventure -- take a couple of weeks and do that.
It was a trip of a lifetime for me.
Life is good isn't it!
