They'd be starting all over and the previous findings by this prosecutor would be null. The new prosecutor would have to reach an all new decision and new charges.
Not to mention, depending on how bad she fricked up, she could face charges and be disbarred.

By doing this now at this point in time, you just gave those thugs all the ammunition in the world reason that their actions were responsible for this happening now--charging the officers with a crime. Now you'll see other situations pop up where if they don't get what they want, they'll revert to being fricking babies: hollering, screaming, looting, rioting until something like this happens. Its gonna be funny when they get acquitted.
