Men need time to themselves away from the feminine madness. And for some reason that pisses women off.

This is just part of the female brain and it needs to be checked. Feminists are prone to speak about the need for "female spaces" to be created, etc...

"Male spaces" are places that require invading and smashing, etc.

I see it on a micro-level of married friends whose wives view "your stuff is OUR stuff, while my stuff is MY stuff". Its like women assume men are the "grown ups" and so women behave more like children.

I am a fortunate guy. My wife is a football fan and is a Navy Vet, so we have a built in enthusiasm every year for the Army Navy game.

She follows LSU with me though she is a Georgia Peach

I barely watched any of the Super Bowl. I thought it was because I mainly like college football. Turns out its because I'm too alpha to care.

That will be $25, please pay the receptionist on the way out.

bullshite. Most SEC women know more about football than most guys of other conferences.

This is the dumbest shite I've ever read

Okay maybe you personally know a lot about football. But 95% of the girls I know in the south are absolute retarded when it comes to football. The only reason they show up to games is to take pictures and post them on Instagram.

I enjoy watching football with my wife. I'd enjoy hunting with her if she wanted to do it. I also enjoy just hanging out with my brothers and father, and have never had her try and 'butt in' when doing so. When we have other couples over, the women congregate in the living room, and the men in the rec-room. My wife brings plates of chips/dip or buckets of beer on ice to us, but other than that leaves us alone to 'guy time'. Sounds like you're doing it wrong.

This is stupid. Are you not able to conceive of the notion of societal trends? Do you deny the existence of increasing obesity because you may happen to be skinny?

Absolutely. I stopped at "the only one watching was my Mom" BS. Every guy I know that was at least a casual sports fan watched the Super Bowl. I'm sure TV ratings probably back me up on that.

The NFL's grabs with Breast Cancer Awareness and such is simply to make more money and build their brand. It doesn't have dick to do with feminism.

If you want to put a societal trend on this, it's that men are behaving more and more like children. Its been a while since I thought something couldn't be cool because a girl liked it, or that men are becoming so beta their women aren't understanding separate spheres of male and female society.

Either way, I find it hard to understand why women caring about football is somehow threatening my masculinity.

I base my opinion off of the females that I know and that I've come across on here who are SEC fans. I realize that isn't a very large sampling size, but it's all I can personally speak for. I cheered all of my life and we actually had to take and pass tests involving football/basketball fundamentals (which were retardedly easy tests, tbh) to even be considered for the squad. Were there some on there who seriously didn't understand what a first down was or a screen pass or shotgun formation..simple shite...w/o rote memorization? Sure there were. Those were the kinds that I cited in my original comment that got on my nerves, and still do to this day.

I love the game. Everything about the game. And if I am that interested in something, then I make it a point to thoroughly understand it. Helps that my dad coached and my brother played all of his life so I was constantly saturated with football schemes, etc. But even if that had not been the case, I would've made it my business to learn what the game was about.

I'ma hijack the thread for a sec. So guess who's coming to College Station in October? Yep, that's right. I'm gonna be flying out ahead of time and meeting up with a certain Ag for the game. If y'all do end up going, we have got to make a point of us all getting together before/after the game. Hopefully I won't be pouting about losing.

Oh no way! Yes, absolutely if we make it, we'll meet up and you have to let wifey and I buy you that drink(s) we've been promising!

SC is the game I really want to go to. Just working out the logistics with friends, but that one looks to be a good time.

Will give you my contact info later in the year

Which makes the assertion that women are ruining men's masculinity by their attendance/watching football games even sillier.

Sounds good! I'm really looking forward to the trip for several reasons.

Turns out, remember when I told you last year that all I wanted for my bday was a win over y'all since you played us on my bday? Guess who's bday is the same exact day...a certain Ag's. Guess his bday wish was answered and mine wasn't. Sweet revenge on Halloween, though. I'ma conjure up my Wiccan, Irish great grandmother and have a spell cast to assure the win on All Hallow's Eve.

You don't want Black Magic. That was the nickname of one of the best teams we ever fielded under Coach Morrison.

I might arrange a little stop over in Louisiana to pick me up some Hoodoo spells to compliment the Wiccan ones.

ABORT OPERATION BLACK MAGIC

Hmm, plan B--use Mrs. T's and my mutual Irish roots to subvert the efforts of C_G's grandma?
