I live at Atlantic beach/Jacksonville.
I need to know the best local beers, or at least the best in the state.
BBQ is there any worth consuming? burgers? pizza? and a mom and pop Italian joint.
may he who recommend millers ale house, Sonny's BBQ, bold city brewery or landshark die of genital warts.

Good fricking luck on the BBQ front. I moved to Orlando in 2006 and didn't find an actual good BBQ place until 2011. And I still haven't found any OTHER good ones. Maybe since you're closer to Georgia you'll have more luck 
As for beer, Yuengling is easy to come by and cheap. It's cheaper than Bud Lite at my Wal Mart and way better. For not cheap beer check out Cigar City Brewing. Tons if awesome varieties but they're in Tampa so it might be harder to get up in Jville.

have tried a few cigar city brews and liked them all. same with sweetwater out of Georgia. let's forget cheap beer and get to the good stuff.

My buddy used to live in Jacksonville and took me to a pretty good mom and pop Italian place. I'll email his to get the name of it. It wasn't out fo this world good, but it wasn't horrible either.
I'll email him for a list of recs. He lived in South Jax right off the road that goes to Jax Beach.

For BBQ, you can't go wrong if you go to Sonny's. You will also be doing yourself a favor if you check out Millers Ale House and Bold City Brewery. And - you heard it here first - Landshark.
