The roar of a P-51 merlin engine as it flies by.
The "thunk" of a carpenter bee off a tennis racket.
The "daddy!" that my boy yells when I walk in the door from work.
The "pffft" of an ice cold beer bottle being opened.
Every sound a fishing real makes, but mostly a long drag pull.
The reverse "Rammer Jammer" at the last iron bowl.
The first Whippoorwill of the spring.
The challenging stage sound in Galaga.
Zippo lighter sounds.

Alicia Keys in certain parts of the song "No One", sounds almost sexual.

Chambering a round in my pump shotgun.
- Also agree with catching a ball in your glove in the right spot.
- The crack of a wooden bat hitting a baseball
- Hearing an old muscle car idle.

All of these sounds are music to my ears. In fact, they hit the sweet spot. Especially listening to the action of chambering a round in a quality semi automatic or pump shotgun.

When I hear the first round chambered I can't help but think that this is so much better than sitting in an office all day.

Damn, these are some really good sounds.

I could hang with you guys.

One I always loved:

"TOUCHDOWN AUBURN!!" as done old school by Jim Fyffe. I can only imagine his reaction to a couple of games this year. Though Bramblett did well.

I'm quite sure the majority of posters here have no idea of what you speak. That is indeed one of the most awesome sounds the human ear can experience.

You are correct and the most important of all mentioned so far.

I am fortunate enough to still hear those words often from my 34 year old daughter and 29 year old son and all 5 of my grandkids.

Oh, reading some of these replies reminds me of this song:LINK

I can damn sure tell you want a merlin P-51 sounds like...sweet music. My great uncle was a p-51 pilot and I have seen and heard several of them over the years in person at air shows etc.
