Yea that's an issue with our anthem. It's just generally a difficult thing to sing, even more so for large groups.

God Bless America lends itself a lot more to a crowd song (ie, less complex melody, shorter and has plays a lot more like a fight song)

I've always thought this would make a good national anthem (or at least a song to play at the Patriots games)

Agree.

And that's not really a knock on the Star Spangled Banner, either. Some folks forget that FSK wrote it as a poem--it wasn't really meant to be sung
