Somehow, this topic came up in the office today (apparently one worker used to work at Michoud in New Orleans East). I was the only one in the entire office that didn't think the moon landing was a hoax. Are there really that many people who think it was shot in a studio or are the people I work with really that dumb?

Out of curiosity, what kind of office is this?

And to answer your question, yes....we did. I find that people who believe the whole moon landing conspiracy theory are usually people who don't know a thing about space but like to act like they do.

Well, I read last night that there was a run on magnetic telemetry tape in the 1970's, so NASA pulled a bunch out of the national archives and recorded over them, including the originals from Apollo 11. All they have left now is the converted video tapes.

Now, I'm not saying that the "destruction" of the originals wasn't an accident, but I am saying the originals are mysteriously missing.

FTR: Apollo 11 was for real, mayne.

I am leaning toward yes until I see better proof that we did not. But with that being said there was at least a motive, to bankrupt the Soviet Union.

Here is an interesting short video about the geography of the moon. LINK

It's a legitimate question. I mean were you there yourself to witness it? It's highly possible it never happened but I'm sure if you told that to Neil Armstrong he would take his space helmet and ram it up your anus. I think that people are dumb in the world and I believe that yes we did land on the moon. How can you fake a giant rocket going up in the air and why would you have all of those failed attempts before it why not on Apollo 1 go to the moon if you were trying to fake all this why wait for 11? Conspiracy theories are generally dumb

Out of all the conspiracy theories, this one would make the most logical sense, considering the whole Cold War thing. But at the end of the day, yes I believe we did.

No, it isn't.

Did WW I and II happen?
Is the atomic bomb real?
Did the Titanic really sink? Was it even a real ship?

These are equally stupid questions.

Look, he was the first real person. A camera crew did get there ahead of him to film it but they don't count.

Got it?

From the report:

"The engineers never saw the back-up telemetry tapes again."

From Mr. Smarty Pants:

And your last sentence? Well, let's just say you're not good at being coy.
