A thread full of white southerners complaining about black people pointing out that all things are not equal.
Right? The funniest is most come from middle to upper middle class backgrounds and refute white privilege being a real thing by saying there are more blacks in the South on welfare. Like welfare is some sort of privilege.

I think I kinda am/did (literally and figuratively) by marrying a white girl

Yeah, me too, I am a white guy, been married twice, first time was to a black woman, it didn't work out, but not because of our race, we have a grown daughter together, who is now an English and Literature Teacher.
I still love her completely and I know she does me too, but I have this revenge thing, that I can't discuss here, and she felt that it was destroying me.
She tried to get my attention, but I have always been the most hellbent, determined person you are likely to meet, so I had to be happy with the way it went.
She raised my daughter to be exactly like I expected her to be, even if I was there everyday.
If people only knew...

In reality, I appreciate the delivery of of the linked video a lot more than what I read from this article. Admittedly, I didn't watch the movie.

No bullshite, sincere props to you, my man. Takes a very big person not only to admit that they have/had issues, but were unselfish enough to realize what the solution ultimately had to be.
Sorry if that sounds trite or cheesy, but I really mean that

Well, thanks man. It is pretty damn cheesy though
Good luck to y'all.
Some of us never have to worry about what others think, and most will never get it.
