Could you at least act cooler when you do go around being a raging a-hole and screwing up the fun of all the good boys who never hurt no one and are about to turn their lives around?

In seriousness, unchecked opiates will flat out crash a society. Ask the Chinese.

Legal cannabis and a lot of other common sense alterations to the way we live would pretty much eliminate most of the problems like the one you described, at least to a point that giant federal agencies wouldn't be needed to deal with it.

Well, the folks that would actually be good at this are on the other side of the situation. Hell I can't imagine many of them have even ever been in a legit buying situation.

Are you laughing at the idea that DEA agents have never actually been trying to buy drugs for themselves?

ETA: I see how it could be possible to not realize that I was kind of being a condescending dick in my first post

Training is a bit better these days.

I'll just say that.

Sounds like a great way to get a curious field agent hooked on some real stuff

Not saying it's common, but there's no way no one has ever experimented

I'm sure they have. I'm sure they were subsequently terminated from their jobs too.

Not after they're hired no.

Before that, plenty have.

I'd have an easier time buying whatever I wanted than just about anyone on here minus Ag.

War on Drugs is obviously one of the biggest jokes of all time

I agree.

There is a semantic problem that I've noticed in the sense that the word "drugs" in the minds of many people is just too broad as a catchall. Many people don't make the appropriate distinctions between beneficial psychoactive substances, and then harmful psychoactive substances, and the different variables involved.

Many people oppose legalization (or, some alteration to the current ridiculous laws) because of addiction. But many psychedelics, if used the proper way, can help people overcome addiction to other "drugs" (Alcohol, Cigarettes, Pharmaceutical Medication, Heroin, etc.), and be tools to improve people's lives in a variety of ways. Plus, addiction to "drugs" often gets blown out of proportion.
