The Stanley Cup and playoff games are always pretty good.. Having HDTV these days helped me enjoy it more than I did in the 90s as well..

Soccer would be more popular with a smaller pitch, and bigger goals. Maximize scoring and speed and rough the game up a bit.

Now that you mention it. If ANY sport would benefit from having an "indoor" counter part it is Soccer. I'm not big on indoor football but I'd be up for indoor soccer.

That exists. A lot of youth tournaments are held indoors with walls around the field.
