Do you have access to a heat gun(used to remove paint)? My friend tells me that you should use one. Easier to control the heat applied.

I just don't understand why a good bowl or two and a six pack of good, heavy beer can't do it for anyone. If that can't put you down, then you are buying low grade bud and beer

You have to have a vape pen of some kind, otherwise you're going to waste a ton of it.

A friend told me that if for what ever reason your vape pen/blow torch-bong combo are out of play, then ...
Load a bowl with bud as usual, then get your "dentistry" tool out, procure your dab (you won't need much) and then melt that over/on top of the bud.
NOTICE: When you first light it, it will hold a flame.. lightly blow on it to put it out or you risk the consequences of being "that guy" and blowing everything out.

The best thing I've ever done for myself was buy a rig. With everything it comes out around 200$ but you save a lot of wax and you get 10x ^

Definitely. My friend tells me tRig is best practice. When you're in a pinch though, the bowl/bud method isn't optimal but it gets the job done

If you load it into a bowl its just gonna melt and go into the bottom of the pipe, huge waste.
I got a G from a friend in Colorado and had no way to hit it. Figured out the best way to get the most out of it is to "chase the dragon" off of foil like a damn crack head. It looks awful but kept me high for a month off of one gram.
Take a piece of foil with the shiny side down. Hit the bottom of the foil with a lighter to burn off any residue from the foil. Stick about a pea size piece of the wax in the middle of the foil. Use a lighter under the foil to gently heat the wax and suck off the vapors with a straw or hollowed out pen. You wont see smoke but can taste the vape. Don't boil the wax, just heat it enough to liquefy it. That little pea size piece should have you and your friend gone for the night.

That would be incorrect. If done how it was explained above, it evaporates as usual and the, we'll call it, "run off" soaks into the bud. With the bud absorbing the "run off" this causes the bud to take on a thin outer coating of wax. Thus, making the bowl/bud more flame resistant and your average bowl lasting twice as long as it would with only bud.
Again, this isn't the optimal experience but if you're in a pinch, have some bud, and don't want to look like a Crack head, this is a option.

Wonder if you can do the same thing we used to do with hash ...
Cut the bottom out of an empty 2-liter soda bottle
Heat the blade of a butter knife on the stove
Touch the blade to a small ball of the hash (in this case drop a bit of the dab on the end?)
Hold the knife inside the 2-liter while inhaling through the mouth of the bottle.
Been out of the game for well over a decade now, so I really have no idea.

We used to do something similar, but I remember a glass in the freezer. Basically the same method, but holding the knife under an inverted frozen glass, then flipping the glass over and inhaling. Something like that. Forget the exact process.

That would cool the smoke kinda like putting ice in your bong reservoir, but how was the draw without a carb?

As I recall, the smoke just slowly rose so you really didn't have to draw it in, just put for face over the top of the glass and breathe in. It's been almost 20 years since I did it, so I may be misremembering exactly how we did it. Definitely remember hot knives from the stove, hash, a glass, and the freezer.
