In the Phillipines the coconut plant is considered the tree of life. you can survive by eating just coconuts as Coconut water contains sugar, dietary fiber, proteins, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and provides an isotonic electrolyte balance.Coconut milk has a 17% fat content.

However, it would be smart to locate and capture local animals for the purpose of eating their raw organs. Inuits survive cold climates on a diet that contains almost no fruit or vegetables. They receive their necessary vitamins from animal organs

As long as I had a knife and a couple of containers I could survive almost anywhere.

I doubt it. Do you screw a crab or a coconut?

I was in the Army. I learned plenty of survival.

Yes, as long as I had a water source. Gulf barrier islands are frickin brutal in the summer, though.

What's on the island? What's the flora and fauna? Freshwater source? More details

I've seen Cast Away twice. So, yes, I know the tricks. Would I have a soccer ball?

I could survive given that there is a source of food and water.
I would spend a lot of time fapping most likely.

Filipinos are also used to coconut. You go try to live off them and you'll be shitting like a tied goose until you're so dehydrated that you go into shock and are eaten alive by fiddler crabs.

This. Bear Grylls mentioned this once in one of his shows. Right before he stayed the night in the local 5 star hotel.

Can I have the 5C's and the blueprint of a homemade desalination rig I saw on youtube?

I would like to think so, but it would be very dependent on the environment and what tools I have with me.
Give me a machete or a hatched and a means of making fire easily, and I am golden.

I may be wrong but coconut is a natural diuretic and it may not be enough to survive on. Fresh water and tropical climate on a big enough island and I think I could make it.
Coconut is a natural LAXATIVE. Not diuretic.

And I could survive for years if given a fresh water supply and Teagan Presley.
